This is what Buick called the 1929 models. If it is on the 116" chassis the bodystyle is 27, on the 121" chassis it´s 47 as noted above. Both called Master Six towards customer, and Series 116 in internal reference books.

So it is correctly listed as 1929 Buick Master Six Series 116 Sedan [27] ?

That looks fine to me.

I think DAF has misinterpreted the use of the English language in the brochures. I have had a look at all of the brochures on the 1929 Buick website. In only one case is the word master used and only to describe the 1929 Buick as the master six - only a general term to describe the car as the master of all sixes - not The Master Six. I think it would be more correct to describe all 1929 Buicks as Silver Anniversary models as that is the term most used in their advertising and is also what they are mot commonly known as. You ask any 1929 Buick owner what model they own and they will reply - "a Silver Anniversary".

Here´s the complete 1929 brouchure: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org"

Buick introduced the modelname Master Six already in 1925, alongside with the Standard Six. For 1929 the Standard Six was discontinued and all models sold as Master Six. Looking on each page where the different models are described, that´s the name used. Not just once, in all cases.

In general the 1929 models were, and still are referred to as Silver Anniversary Buicks, that´s fine. But I think it´s a bit of a stretch to make it the modelname of the cars.

Most of the advertising in your link is from export markets, they might have been using other denominations, the ads or brouchures shown are also incomplete in many cases so we can´t know for sure how the cars are described.
