The bumper is not series-standard. Unfortunately the quality of the pic is bad, but it's rather one of the last prototypes or 0-Series cars (the VW-logo is not adjusted, too) than on of the first US-versions. I think, this pic is already here in the database. |

Yes, this scene, also some in this documentation: /movie_996570-Design-Classics.html is from a 16 mm-movie, VW had made for new models or facelifted model-ranges. They had an own "Cinema-mobile", which drove to the local VW-dealers, -garages and importers and have shown the movies to the employees. Later on, in the late 70ies, they changed to VHS-tapes and dia-slides. After a short intermezzo with Floppy-discs they changed to DVD's. 15 years ago I've digged out three of these 16mm-rolls at a VW-dealer nearby Hannover /vehicle_289708-Volkswagen-1600-Typ-31-1970.html |
