It looks like 1971 AMC Hornet SC 360 ( Link to "blog.cardomain.com" ), but on fender it has inscription 'American' instead 'Hornet'. Some mexican version? |

Since this movie was filmed in Mexico, I believe these were called VAM Rambler American like this one: /vehicle_289380-VAM-Rambler-American-1970.html |

Nice "American" script at the front fender. Karoomay is right, VAM Rambler American. |

Ive looked on Google maps "street views" or hours at a few Mexican locations and am dissapointed that I hae not found a single VAM car captured. Ive seen a fair number of AMC's in US views. Are there any VAM cars left in Mexico these days? In the US, there is still a decent supply of the American version (the Hornet) still floating around. |

The easiest way to find surviving VAMs would be to look for fan websites or owner's clubs. |

I don't know why this was marked 1968, the white one behind the blue one is already listed. And the blue Hornet style didn't start until 1970, but sporty models in 1971 as Jale pointed out 10 years ago. |
