I think Volvo 360.

Probably 340 a safer guess for this poverty version.

In both cases it was assembled in the Netherlands.

Not only assembled in Holland, it was even 'designed' here, as Daf 77 (prototype P900: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=14570.0 ).

Edit: 1985+, by the lack of quarterlights.

quarterlights were dropped already in late 1983 (1984 MY).

I'm not sure but I think the 360 had a much wider rubber list on the side, so a 340 indeed.

I can't see the photos on that thread. Are photos only visible to Autopuzzles members?

I think they should be visible for everybody...
I have similar problems with some thumbnails in IMCDb :/

It seems indeed that pictures are shown only to members there.
Missing thumbnails here are another problem (imageshack & others which sometimes lose pictures)

Sorry, I didn't think of the possibility that these pictures wouldn't be visible for everyone...

The 340/360 sold in huge numbers there, 124.327 in Holland alone.

@DynaMike: Sorry for my inaccurate comment. You're right of course. These cars were 100% DAFs with a Volvo-badge.

Kein Problem! And I'm not sure we from Holland can be very proud of this vehicle, anyway ;) At least I'm not a great fan (wenn ich mich vorsichtig ausdrücken will) of rear wheel drive cars with 17th-century-coach-like leaf springs...

What's wrong with leaf springs?

Teamed with magnificent de Dion axle, don't forget. :D

I always thought these cars weren't too bad. At least they do have a (small but) loyal fanbase.

So do Marinas. And pianos.

Sandie SX

I know a guy who has one in perfect condition. I know another guy who put the slightest of scratches on it and guy one threatened to sue him for the damage.

I think I'd prefer a Marina.

@ Dsl: I felt bad that I told about my 'dislikes', but now I'm happy I did. Otherwise I would have missed a good laugh about your comment :D :king:

@dsl:  Good answer, touché. Still, I think the 340/360 Series were better cars than the Marina.

.... but pianos better than both???
