Why do modern Dodge trucks have their weight series in the extra info field on this site whereas Fords have it as part of the model name? (F-150, F-250, etc). Is the difference between an F-150 and F-250 really more significant than a Ram 1500 and Ram 2500? |

"F-150" is the model name for Ford's light-duty full-size pickup. The F-150 has its own unique appearance as of the 2004 model year. |

Exactly. Ford trucks have no "real name" (like Silverado, Sierra, or Ram). |
