Agree Austin A55 Cambridge-based, so Di Tella or whatever made-for local version. UK origin.

no, not british, impossible to be a SIAM or Di Tella. Its a north american car.

?? I'm sure the image is just too flat...

Yes, sure, not very good image, but its an american car... i don't know
Moreover, the vast majority of Di Tella and the like, were taxis, and this has nothing to identify it as a taxi.
It has to be some order of the decade from 1960 or earlier American

For a milisecond I thought bout a Borgward P100, but it isn't one.

I suppose we can all agree it's not a Corcel anyway.

None brazilian cars here, until 1990. Look at the rear fenders. It is very rare, in my opinion. But it has all the earmarks of being American.

I'm sorry, I don't agree. Allowing for the wrong ratio, to me this is unmistakeably ADO9 based.

I'm thinking the same. If most were taxis locally, it does not stop a few being non-taxis.

Why must it be a taxi? For me the roof is lighter due light-reflections, not yellow painted.

Gomselmash11

not understand it? the vast majority were taxis, but did not say that this is the case. Although it appears that had a roof bicolor

I see a taxi sign on the roof.

Mind my eyes have failed me a lot recently.

Is your flat cap too loose?

The "taxi sign" is rather the head of a soldier behind the car. You see the rifle, too.

Gomselmash11

 not a taxi sign in the car. And yes ingo, it's a soldier, policeman or gendarmerie, i suppose.
