2010 is the last model year for the PT. Also 2010 will be the last year for another retro-styled car, the VW New Beetle. |

Ah, that sounds nice. All this retro-style-junk sucks. Always poor tries to continue legendary succcesses from the past. It's very annoying, all the fuss and bother, for example VW had made with the shitty New Beetle. They even have used its silhouette for the logo of the AutoStadt and the ZeitHaus-exhibitions. Impudent. |

For example due its poor quality. It's really junk. It was embarrassing for Mercedes Benz, when they had it, at DaimlerChrysler-times, in the same dealership. In the ADAC-breakdown-statistic it's listed as one of the worst unreliable cars. Close to Rover, Lada and smart. |

I think the retro-sytle on this one is not too bad, but I agree, the New Beetle simply sucks and I think the Chevy HHR is much worse-looking than the Pt Cruiser and actually just a cheap copy grrrr.... but the Chrysler is no longer that bad any more (in reliability, quality,...), they have improved during the years. -- Last edit: 2010-02-07 00:02:43 |

Something else: Weren't/Aren't all PT Cruisers sold in the USA made in Mexico? |

Most of them were and although they will be widely discontinued soon, Mexico still won't stop producing them to at least 2011. |

The Chevy HHR was actually designed by the same guy who designed the PT Cruiser (also I think the VW New Beetle was designed by the same guy who designed the 2008-2009 Ford Taurus, you can see the similarities in the shape of the windows). This must have been a really new PT Cruiser, since the movie was made in 2001 and that was the PT's first model year. -- Last edit: 2011-07-21 21:31:56 |
