I believe the embargo started around 1959.How'd this get into Cuba?

in the audio of the documentary, the guy says a 1964 Oldsmobile. It's sure a 2º hand particular import or similar.

Yes, but not many car imports will have taken place since Fidel Castro came into power in 1959... And still, a 1964 car ...?

Supposedly Castro got his hands on 12 new 1964 Oldsmobiles for the use of his bodyguards. A few are still around in Cuba today, in private hands.
