Who changed this to 1983? It's as mentioned above, it's a 1982 car. Sometimes I wonder about the competency of the people who moderate this site... -- Last edit: 2010-07-13 10:40:02 |

Nov 1982 would be 1983 model year, no? (I do not know who changed it though) |

Unless the year of manufacture/first registration of the car is not known, then by all means, go by 'model year', otherwise, use the year of manufacture/first registration (as listed above). The whole 'model year' concept is stupid in my opinion anyway. -- Last edit: 2010-07-13 11:33:21 |

Well we use model year in all cases, the manufacture year helping to know the model year in some cases. But if there are no changes between 1982 & 1983 models, here we should list it as 1982 since we are not sure it was build as 1983 model instead of 1982 (it could have waiting few months in a showroom) The concept is stupid, but it is used by car makers, so we have to follow. I already used that example often, but my Peugeot 106 bought in summer 2001 had some new details of the 2002 model, which I did not expect. But it was probably one of the first 2002-specs models build then... -- Last edit: 2010-07-13 11:34:29 |

1983-84 models were given a slightly facelifted grille: Compare: 1981-82 to 1983-84 So 1982 is correct. |
