my books show a turret like that (the shape with the "box") on a "version E", but the rear section looks different. :-)) martin |

It is a fake, quite similar to this one: /vehicle_12297-KhPZ-T-34-1940.html The position of the turret is further aft on the real 'Tiger'. |

you are right. (I can see in the book of senger-etterlin.) and the fake-tiger shows e better rear section oft the top: http://img415.imageshack.us/my.php?image=10lr.jpg so one more fine fake - also nice group of vehicles ... :-)) martin -- Last edit: 2006-05-01 18:46:02 |

Until we know what it is based on -- probably another T34 -- calling it 'Made for Movie' is okay. |

If it is a modified KhPZ T-34 it is better to use that name like for the other, I think (but if we are not sure at all, well, "Made for Movie" is enough I guess) -- Last edit: 2006-05-03 11:43:26 |

I have to see the tracks and wheels to tell more ... a bit difficult in this shot! |
◊ 2006-05-03 13:25 |
okay, guys, I will search for other views ... :-)) martin now: no view on the tracks, but that shows details: comparing it with my books: silhouette of the body does not match. part OVER the tracks seems too high. turret seems tooo big (broad) and also too high ... -- Last edit: 2006-05-03 18:41:04 |

In short: it looks awful! Perhaps we should use as the name 'Crudely made for movie'. |

The Tiger tanks in this film were the same replicas from Operation Daybreak, so this was indeed a T-34. |
