Maybe an early 'big' MG?? - 18/100 or similar?

I cannot agree with this suggestion. The MG 18/100 was only built in 1930, and they only built 5, ever, all having an open 4 seater road/racer body type. If it is an MG, then an 18/80 (1929 to 1933, 236 built) is more likely, but in my view the double front bumper suggests a 1931 to 1935 Standard 20. The registration number was from a London series current between July 1931 and June 1933, and the 9707 suggests a later date rather than an earlier one.

The top of the radiator surround suggests a 1931 Chrysler to me; compare Link to "lunarbovine.com" from http://lunarbovine.com/blog/2012/07/1931-chrysler-cm-coupe/ . The bumper looks roughly right too. However, 1932 and 1933 models all had split screens, I believe, which makes the registration a bit of a puzzle, although I suppose that a 1931 car could have been re-registered for some reason.
