That is a 90s Leyland DAF 45 prison van. In the Uk, we prefer to call these prison vans, or paddy wagons rather than a prison truck.

I can't narrow down the age as I can't see the front, plus the number plate looks a fake.

Well done jimbham, I thought we were going to have trouble identifying this one. The plate seems to say D793YLR (not really sure what the last letter is though) but it didn't register on Mycarcheck (and I tried most of the most of the alphabet on the last letter). This scene is supposed to be set in 1989, when Bronson was sent back to prison (only 69 days after being released)

Thanks G-Mann. It is quite a diffcult view to go on. ALthough, I'm a huge truck fan :D so I knew straight away way what type of vehicle it was.

Yes, I thought this film set around in the 80s. So, obviously this truck is post-80s. I think they were first sold from 1993, but I maybe wrong on that one.

Well, least we've figured it out.

This film is currently on Lovefilm Instant (a streaming service) in HD and now I can see that the plate is D793YLE. But that belongs to a Ford Transit so they must have switched plates.

In fact I've just found one that looks virtually identical Link to "www.gumtree.com" only difference is the reflective stickers on the back, though there's no mention of it being used in this film.
