It sure is (see the back-up lights). Very strange to see the location of the rear license plate... In the center is the gas filler cap. |

I guess, if the Italian sized back plate would be mounted in the middle, you would have problems to reach the lock for the trunk. My grandmother's DAF 44 was wrecked nearly 30 years ago, but I still remember, how it feels, if you put your hand on DAF-door- and trunk-locks, on the steering-wheel ad the dashboard-knobs, too. And I have the sound of the indicator-signal in the background of my memories. And -no kidding- ca.15 years ago I had a strong Déja-vu. I've looked on a scrapyard into a ca.1976/77 Peugeot 104, when I got a flash in my brain. Within a mili-second I've known: this is 100% exactly the smell of grandma's DAF! Yes, I swear, it was absolute identical. |
