Anybody else think these are cool? Some teenager up the street from me used to have a Turbo Z, back in the mid 90's and he beat the hell out of it driving it like a race car. For a 4 cyl..them things are fast as hell. |

My parents bought a brand new Turbo Z in 1986. Hideous quality... they had to take it back to the dealer and have interior pieces put back together. The turbo went all the time. Finally, a few years later it caught on fire and burned to the ground! I think the sign of things to come was right after they bought it, on the way home from the dealer, the Chrysler emblem flew off. This car is the main reason I've never bought a Chrysler product. |

Did the stick shift knob break off? I remember walking past this kids car once, and I glanced through his window and saw it was missing part of the stick shift. I think his was an '84. I remember it was painted in maroon with Turbo Z on the lower side of the doors. But later on he ruined it and painted it in primer. |

The larger white back-up lught lenses make this a Chrysler Laser, not a Daytona. |

I drove a 1986 Laser in 12th grade back in 1991. No turbo and slow, my friend could beat me in his Mercury Topaz, but I still had tons of fun with that car. |
