The Jeeps in this film are a mix of parts as often happens in Hollywood. The one pictured here has the grille and windshield of the M38 but no other features of that model. The body side handles, no tool recess, no aux battery box, full floater rear axle, top bow mounts are all of the earlier MB. Same goes for the other jeeps pictured. The one "MB" actually has the windshield of the M38 but still with the MB grille.

It could be a non US built variety that served a local market (Phillipines?)

The Jeep has been successful worldwide due to the interchangabilty of parts for the models and that is evident here.
Much more likely this started life as a surplus MB and received a fresh grille and windshield rather than an M38 that received a new body and axles.
