1967-73 Ford F-700 w/o driveshaft

With that hood insignia, I'd say it's could only be a 1968-72 Ford F-700. Remember that 1968 was when Ford first added side reflectors to the hood insignia, and 1973 was the year of the so-called "New Generation" F-Series. However with the medium-duty F's the differences were much more subtle(slight change in the number of horizontal & vertical bars in the grille & different insignia on the hood).

:hello: How is this even a Ford F-700? I mean, I know it is a ford, but the white Ford F-700 seen during the onpening credits is wayyy different then this F-700.

How does the bridge pull off the axle off the 1968 Ford F700?

explorer4x4

2006-06-12 05:51

I don't know really. The bridge is going up and the driver floors it, the bridge pushes up to the underbody of the truck and the rear axle just falls off, ;).

That means the driver must have kept it in a bad condition does it?

explorer4x4

2006-06-13 00:54

Yes, either that or the crew made it so that the axle would come of on cue.

Wait, if the driver puts the hammer down on that Ford than how come he's not able to get away?

Because, to him it was more important to save the truck rather than himself. He sees the river opening up underneath him, but instead of leaving the truck, he floors it, eventough the rearaxle is beeing lifted up in the air. :hello:

Ya its a dump truck all right, one way you can tell is if you look at it closely you can see the part of the dump part sits on the cab like all dump trucks

Either that or the truck must belong to a company that the driver works for that has a policy where their part of their pay would be docked for any damages to their vehicles.

68-72. Looks like a custom cab. Hood is a mismatched color though, so it possibly could be a 67.

has a sidemarker, at least 1968
