Or a Two-Ten Handyman ? |

No, this has two doors and slanted rear windows. It's the Nomad. |

It does looks more like Two Ten Handyman than Nomad due to white color between chrome trim and I don't see 3 finger chrome on the front fender. I really don't know if Nomad series did offer small hubcap. I can't see if the pillars are slanted or straight either. Opinion? |

A pic with the B-pillar visible would help... |

After checking Nomads and 210, let's call it as 210 Handyman 2 doors. As rjluna2 says "..and I don't see 3 finger chrome on the front fender" and that was one of the differences. See here a 1957 Nomad http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/1957_Chevy_Nomad.html and here http://www.autoclasico.com.mx/Resources/articulos/chevycar/Chevy57_06g.jpg and later a Two-Ten Handyman here http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/1957_Chevy_210.html (4 doors) and here http://www.autoclasico.com.mx/Resources/articulos/chevycar/Chevy57_15g.jpg (2 doors). As you can see the Two-Ten doesn't has these 3 cromed fingers on its side and just near the headlights. |

Thanks, Vilero, for this research. Btw, the 4-door wagon wasn't a Handyman, it was called Townsman (or Beauville if it had three rows of seats). |

This doesn't even have a C-pillar. Every other Chevy Wagon did. That 3 finger chrome is probably blocked by the glare in the window? And can't everybody else tell it has a slanted rear window, and a bump on the roof near the front doors? |

Three more extra pics for the discussion Comments? |

Ermm... Now the B-pillar is well visible, there's no doubt that Ddey65 was right, after all |

Just posted my last answer I have visited this page http://www.yesterdayschevrolet.com/ and more specifically this one http://www.yesterdayschevrolet.com/57postcards.htm and, as you say, Ddey65 was right from the beginning |

Thanks vilero, with these extra pictures really cleared this up! |

At first I thought it was a Handyman, but no. It's a Nomad, but it lacks the wings of the front mudguard. See the rear glass and the Paral door. -- Last edit: 2009-07-31 19:00:38 |
