VW Passat Variant [Typ32], the sedan/hatchback was called Dasher in the USA, but as I know, the Wagon was sold as an Audi Fox. I cannot see the bumpers, but by the chrome-door-handles I'd say, it's a 1974-76-version. -- Last edit: 2008-12-28 17:21:31 |

P.S. The green tinted windows (rare for a Variant), the alloys and the chrome-roof-rack would make the Passat-freaks hysteric today. |

If that's the Volkswagen, it has to be the Dasher. Note the Volkswagen Fastback in front of it. -- Last edit: 2008-12-28 17:31:30 |

This is the question, I'm wondering about. Weren't the Dasher Wagon's (Passat Variant) also sold in the USA as Audi Fox Wagon's? In fact, Passat [Typ 32] and Audi 80 [B1] are identical cars until the C-pillar. |

We have at least wagon where the VW logo is visible: /vehicle_94038-Volkswagen-Dasher-Wagon-Typ-32-1978.html Nothing seems to be mentioned on Wikipedia about an Audi-rebadging of the wagon. |

Without seeing the front part, which was the only one clearly different between them, it's a bit difficult to say Audi Fox Wagon or VW Dasher Wagon http://www.productioncars.com/dx5/press_photos3.php?make2=Audi&model2=Fox Link to "www.productioncars.com" |

@Antoine: yes, the 1977+-facelift-Passat, you have shown in the link, was named "Dasher" also in its Wagon-version, but from the older ones, there were some (I'm not sure, if all or only a few versions) definetely sold as Audi Fox Wagon. |

VW Quantum? edit: hm, that's B2... -- Last edit: 2008-12-28 19:35:57 |

No, Quantum was the successor, the 1981+ [32B]. I suggest to list it as VW Dasher Wagon. Even if it's perhaps an Audi Fox Wagon, it would't be wrong. |
