Definitely a DBR1 - possibly the Trintignant/Frere car from the 1959 Le Mans 24 hour race, which finished 2nd carrying number 6. |

"Chassis: DBR1/4 - Originally built as a DBR3 in 1958, this chassis was converted to DBR1 specification for the 1959 season. In this guise it was only raced at Le Mans and Goodwood where it finished 2nd and 4th respectively. After Aston Martin's retirement from racing, it was used for a motion picture." from here which unfortunately does not identify the film. The DBR3 was [DBR3/1] the only one built, and only raced once as a DBR3 (Stirling Moss in 1958 BRDC race at Silverstone, retired). |
