I keep thinking Leyland or DAF or maybe both. Do those logos on the mudflaps of that other truck mean what I think they mean? |

Yes, don't pass the truck on the right side (on the motorway). |

Okay, maybe 300 PC? /vehicles_make-Fiat_model-300+PC.html I've also considered the 160/190 The blue version must mean you can pass on the left. -- Last edit: 2008-11-10 02:10:09 |

Not a 300 PC. Fiat 619N series II. 300PC was a 6x4 quarry/construction model. |

The story how I heard it; This scene was an accident. The helpful Italian authorities blocked off "both" ends of the mountain road, but apparently it was only one end. The green Fiat truck came from the other end and was unexpected. It however was used in the film because the scene was quite good. |

The police did indeed forget to block both ends, but the truck did belong to the movie crew: As you can see, it is RHD, and they filmed an interior shot of it. |

RHD trucks were a lot more common in Italy during 60s/70s/80s, to have a better view on mountainous roads. |
