Yes, from the vent flaps, apron panel and lighting its a 1958-1959 model. There is also something very odd about this Land Rover. Look closely and there is no hole in the front bumper for a starting handle, but there is a hole through the apron panel. From this it would seem that the engine is mounted higher in the chassis than normal. I have only seen this one before on a factory prototype with independent front suspension, but this is not one of those prototypes. I can only assume therefore this was a locally built model using a non-standard engine. I would love to know more about this one. |
