i cant believe that throughout the entire movie, not a light was busted, window broken, or dent whatsoever on this truck. But anways it is a beast. |

Unfortunately the grille is not really visible but the headlights give this away as being a 1981-1988 model. |

The truck in the movie is like every other Blazer on the road. It's an "under 199". 1979 - 1991 Full-size Blazers, the entire body (and pretty much the entire truck)is the same, which makes parts easily interchangeable between years. The major body differences (although still interchangeable) are the front fenders and the grille components. The truck in "Throttle" has 1973 - 1980 fenders. Look at the turn signal, it's vertical (covered by diamond plate in the movie) and the body line makes a 90 angle down the front edge of the fender. 1981-1991 the body line ends straight, with a horizontal turn signal on the fender. The truck in "Throttle" has 1985-1988(possibly 1983/84), dual stacked headlights. Chevy K5 (full-size) Blazers didn't have dual stacked headlights until 1983(as an option) but were standard on the 1985 - 1988's. In 1989 they went to smaller, side-by-side dual headlights. As someone pointed out - the K5 Blazers ARE Beasts! 16 yrs of repairing, rebuilding, restoring, lifting, modifying and 4wheeling K5 Blazers - they're awesome. |

it's a bad ass ride , i like the horn on it , and the tented window's , make's people think twice before pissing the driver of that off , it would have been cool if the light's were brighter Link -- Last edit: 2011-08-09 01:49:36 (Neptune) |

1979-1980 model due to the front end and hood styling detail. The headlamps are modified, they are not factory correct. |

Completely badass. I had a 1986 K-5 with a 350/throttle body injection. I used it in a low budget horror film I made. Now I have a 1980 Plymouth Trailduster. |
