Well this sure is an interesting E24. Look closely at the tailights in the picture. It looks like E21 3-series lights were used in place of the normal E24's. Weird. Guess that was part of this cars major modifications. Very brief use of this car, some minor running footage, no actual BMW engine/exhaust sounds used (typical since it's supposed to sound like a jet engine). The rear of this car appears to be a European model - look at the sheet metal strip/ridge under the rear license plate area - US spec cars would never have this, since US plates are more square and need addtional room to fit flushly with the body. The short rear bumpers are also a given the more I look at it. Strange they tagged on the 633csi badge. I really doubt this is a 633. It's obviously a euro-model. Also, look at the front air-dam, probably from a Euro-635csi. |

Well, yeah. it's a European spec 633. In fact, the car was imported over right from Germany. All the gauges are in German too.

Wow, that's interesting stuff. Great photo too. I guess I thought the car was driving in one scene, but I do recall it being parked mostly. How long have you owned this car? What are those things on the wheels? Can you drive the car? |

I always wanted this car as a kid, so it's great to see it saved! It's always facinating to know what happens to the lesser-important to the plot movie cars afterwards |

Always been curious about the lore of this car in the movie. I assume its supposed to be a futuristic version of a hot rod which I suppose fits with modern "restomod" builds. But it always seemed strange to me that Griff could afford a 39 year old high end BMW that should be a classic and presumably fairly expensive, when Biff and Needles have a 9 and 7 year old Ford respectively . |

with the "offer" that Griff makes to Marty Jr. , there might be a chance that he is involved in some doubtful but profitable activities.. Of course, its only a 3 minutes old theory since it never crossed my mind before reading your comment.. -- Last edit: 2024-02-02 06:47:53 |
