No, I suppose I'm not 100%. The Classic was the upper level Caprice for sedans 86'-90' but all wagons were Classics except for 1987 when a base Caprice wagon was offered for just that one year. |

Given the circumstances of this scene, might this actually be a funeral car? I think somebody mentioned something about "first-response" cars that are just wagons with blacked out windows. |

It's a Coroner's car, in American films they often wheel dead bodies into station wagons with CORONER written on the side. |

1st call cars, yes. But these normally have vinyl covered rear quarters (+ often landau bows) instead of smoked windows. So this one maybe plays the role of a 1st-caller, but actually seems to be just a station wagon. |
