The first Dangel, even if it's not a make |

Actually at a time I think it was considered as a make... I should check tomorrow in the book "Toutes les voitures du monde" of the 80s, except if sixcyl is faster than me |

I was hesitating as well. See http://www.dangel.com , http://www.dangel.com/histoire.html -- Last edit: 2006-01-13 00:09:11 |

...I'm not the lucky owner of "toutes les voitures du monde" of the 80's... is it a joke? or do you have such a book? dans ce cas "tirez les premiers Messieurs les Anglais" Pour la 504, je rajouterais Break, car il exsite aussi un pickup Dangel. |

-- Last edit: 2006-01-15 17:07:39 |

Nice find I actually think Dangel is considered as make, they still make converted Berlingo's etc... |

Now yes, but not at the time of the 504 (that's a short summary of what is said in French above ) The name "Dangel" was not even used in the commercial name of the car (that's why I did not include it in the name). It started with the 505. -- Last edit: 2006-11-19 16:14:42 |

Dangel has started production of Peugeot-based cars modifying the 504 Break and Pick-up,they were shown both at 1980 Paris M.S.;Henri Dangel done the same thing that done Sinpar on Renault cars, but him had developed a specific ladder chassis complete of transmission's low-range gears and shaft,to place on 504 coque(gasoline/diesel,initially);later the same conversion was acted also on 505 Break coque(gasoline/diesel,with or without turbocharger--two ones of those I ve seen as local Police cars in Guadeloupe's Island into an episode of French TV-series"Il comandante Florent",that was the Italian-dubbed title's version, don't knew as was titled in French;for let make understand you of which series I talk, said that the Gendarmerie's commander was a woman,Isabelle Florent, roled by Corinne Touzet, and his dad was roled by Philippe Leroy) |

504 4X4 by Dangel lasted 1980-1985 in production(the 4X4 Break was built only 1980-1983,'cause the stock-made Peugeot 504 Break--body basis of that SUV"ante-litteram"--will go out of production when arrives on the market in 1982--Geneva M.S.--the 505 Break, that before was put beside the 504 Break into Peugeot range and after dismissed for make way at 505 Break) PS We had got marketed 1982-1983 in Italy some 4X4 Peugeot 504 D Pick-ups with tipper outfit, but they were advertised as Peugeot(not Dangel)504 Pick-up 4x4 Diesel(they have trapeze headlights, rather than originary rounded single headlights set in trapezoidal headlight's pods, like the original,RWD--marketed since 1980--504 U Pick-up) |
