Another one (pick-up or wagon) * : I'm confused a bit with these cars. So in Brazil they were still known as Willys, even if in the USA the make for Jeeps has become Kaiser? http://my.stratos.net/~jimkf/page4.htm In my 1960's brochure (surprisingly printed in Polish) about Kaiser-Jeep products around the world is just Rural and nothing about Willys make. -- Last edit: 2016-11-27 15:10:14 |

The Willys-Overland do Brasil S.A manufactured since 1954 the Jeep Universal. In 1956 (July) the Rural (SUV) began to be set up here, with imported pieces and the same drawing of the American model. Ford bought Willys-Overland in 1967. The Rural was renamed "Ford Rural" in 1972. The Pickup Willys was introduced in 1961. http://www2.uol.com.br/bestcars/classicos/rural-1.htm -- Last edit: 2008-04-25 19:11:27 |
