Would this be an Canadian example as described at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Mayfair At least made for Japan due to fender mounted mirrors. -- Last edit: 2008-04-23 03:41:38 |

In my opinion this is not a 1958 Dodge Mayfair of Canadian origin but a 1958 Dodge Kingsway. Although they were basically the same cars ,Dodge Mayfairs were only distributed within Canada , assembled in the Canadian Windsor factory and were a specific Canadian model designation. In the other export markets and also in Japan the Plymouth based Dodges (now dubbed "Plodges") were sold as Dodge Kingsway by Chrysler International .They were produced at other Chrysler assembly plants among them at Antwerp. This one is a fully equipped 1958 Dodge Kingsway Custom LEI-H six or LE2-H V8 |

Pilou, why is it a LHD and not a RHD? |

In Japan you could (still can) choose by ordering a new car, if you prefer LHD or RHD (sure, it depends, if it's possible for this model or brand). RHD is not required by law. |
