I suppose that it is a Renault Frégate on the right? How was called the wagon? -- Last edit: 2008-03-07 23:53:12 |

There was a Domaine and a Manoir. This is the luxury version Manoir, 1959-1960. |

Nice, the first one on the site (and only one Domaine - I guess that these wagon versions were not so common then?) |

I guess the Manoir should be called Frégate Manoir, so this is actually the second one. (Frégate) Domaine (9 on this site) was available during 1956-1960, it was cheaper, more basic, more 'utility'. The Frégate Manoir was only available during two years, and only with the Transfluide semi-automatic transmission. I couldn't find production numbers of the Manoir, only these infos: 178.000 Frégates were build (all models together) of which only 13.576 with Transfluide transmission (most of which were sedans). |

Indeed there are few Manoir/Domaine... only one of these Domaine is listed as Frégate Domaine. |

... so what do we finally do for these? Frégate or not for the Manoir & Domaine ? As we currently have both namings for these two models. Sixcyl, what do you suggest? -- Last edit: 2008-04-09 18:33:31 |
