It reminds me of the 1977 and 78 Dodge Monacos. This Ford LTD II was a big rival of the Dodges Monaco and Royal Monaco,Plymouths Fury and Gran Fury or the Chevys Impala and Caprice. Anyway, I love all those full-sized 4dr sedans from the 1970's!

a majority of TX law enforcement agencies used the 77-79 LTD II right after Chrysler phased out its C platform - only if the 77/78 B platform (Monaco, Fury) were used - they had the final big blocks...

No, the Royal Monaco was longer than it by a foot

Mr Savage is incorrect..Overall length of the LTD II was 219.5 inches..Royal Monaco was 225.7 inches...so about 6 inches longer...

Texas DPS had those....440's in 1977-78 Furies!!! Ran quite well?
