pilou ◊ 2005-12-25 16:46	Did some further investigation .We have been a bit overconservative , since the Whitley was introduced in september 1949 as a 4 light saloon .A 6 light saloon version of the Whitley saloon was added about march 1952. In 1946 only the Lancaster 4 door six light saloon , Hurricane drophead coupe and Typhoon two door sport saloon were listed by Armstrong Siddeley , so this one cannot be a 1946 but I would rather think it is a 1951 or 1952.The Whitley was very similar to the earlier Lancaster but its sharper line at the rear resulted in better headroom space .
