Does anybody know what the SVT stands for? I can only assume that it stands for "street (somthing) technonlogy" |

Indeed, SVT (Special Vehicle Team) designed all of these specially tuned Mustangs. There are "SVT" badges all over these cars. |

Why would we need "3 Valve" in the extra info, don't all current V-8 Mustangs have three valves per cylinder? BTW, there are not "SVT" badges all over these cars, in fact "SVT" is nowhere to be seen. My father-in-law has a 2007 Shelby GT and the only external badging is "SHELBY", "GT", "SHELBY GT", and "Powered by Ford". And it is my understanding that Carroll Shelby was the one responsible for the design. |

The current Explorer and Sport Trac also have the 3-valve setup for the 4.6L. The F150 will receive the 3-valve setup on the 4.6L for '09 as an option. Apparently the 2-valve setup will carry over for '09 as standard equipment. All new 5.4Ls already have the 3-valve setup for any fullsize Ford/Lincoln truck. |

SVT designed the car, while Shelby oversaw the work. Which is why the car is listed on SVT’s home website along with Shelby’s. -- Last edit: 2008-02-23 06:13:54 |

I don’t know about the GT, but the GT 500 does: Speedometer, Door steps, Engine Compartment and Wheels. |
