Not a 1936 as judged by the rear beltline sloping downwards and under the trunk. It is a 1937 Ford V8 78 DeLuxe Phaeton . In 1936 the rear beltline ran straight under the top.1936 Ford Phaetons had no trunk but a rear mounted spare.Only a few late 1936 Ford Convertible Sedans with the centre posts were equipped with a touring sedan trunk |

The scene here comes from "Paper Moon" were you can see the entire car, and it´s a 1936 model. I´ll make captures of Paper Moon today and will add them as soon as possible. |

If you are sure that the front is 1936 model year I can rely on it ,but then it is in no way a Ford Phaeton but as I may suspect one of the late 1936 Ford V8 68 Convertible Touring Sedans with the touring trunk.1936 Ford Phaetons were all trunkless with an outside spare wheel. The difference between a Phaeton and a Convertible sedan was that the latter had wind-up windows ,and a foldable centre post whereas the Phaetons had plexiglass screens. |
