Looks to be a 1971.-IF- this car is a "Real One"(not a clone)they made only a handful of '71 Hemi Cuda convertibles!! (Fewer than a dozen)

I can't say if its a 71 or 72 without seeing the grill or rear facia, clones and tribute cars have really muddied up the market on these muscle cars. The REAL unmolested cars are still bringing top money, but so many people are willing to settle for a clone, for slightly less money.

"Shark Gill" fenders and "Billboard" stripes -should- be a 1971,but like you(and I,in a way??)said, about the only way to know anymore is to check VIN's....and then know where all the Hidden VIN locations are....and the Eng.Serial...and the Trans code...gotten absolutely ridiculous!! And just think,30 or so years back, they were cheap & hard to sell 'cuz no one really wanted them, except "car guys"??? (Like most of us!!)

It's a clone: All the 1971 Hemi 'Cuda convertibles are currently accounted for, and none of them are optioned like this. I believe only one real '71 Hemi convertible has billboard graphics, and that car is orange with orange interior and white top and graphics.

No such thing as a 72 Hemi or convertible for that matter. Even the clones are strong six figure cars.

I'm surprised, I've never heard of this film, perhaps I should check it out.

71 is the only year that has those side vents
