I'm a bit surprised that the 1959 Cadillac didn't get its own page... |

A non-rusted R5 is maybe even less common than a 1959 Cadillac |

@antp: "norrbottenkörd" is the mystic term. Cars, which are running in the North of Scandinavia are often rust-free, even after decades. In the winter it's too cold to put salt on the roads, and the air is always dry. "Norrbottenkörd" is better than "Southern France-car" or "California-import", if you are looking for an classic car. Unfortunately there are not many people living in that area, so the amount of cars is quite small. |

And "Gotlandsbil" is even better than "norrbottenkörd" or "norrlandskörd". Cars from Gotland (the island outside Swedens eastcoast) haven't been driven very long since it's not a very big island (and it takes about one hour to the mainland with the ferry), also they don't salt the roads in the winter. |

Again, why didn't the Cadillac get its own page, it almost jumps at you out of the frame! |

I didn't get any better cap so I added this in the Contributions section as "Cadillac or Renault 5" So it was up to garco who added the pics to the site. |

It's mentioned now isn't it? It's to avoid getting the same pic listed twice. -- Last edit: 2007-11-10 11:07:15 |

I don't see any Cadillac listed for the movie... |
◊ 2007-11-10 11:35 |
I didn't say it is listed, It's mentoined here in this comment. |
◊ 2007-11-10 11:36 |
But if we're listing a bunch of background cars, why not the Cadillac? |
◊ 2007-11-10 15:58 |
We could list it, I choosed the Renault because I thought it is more interesting in the context. |

A 5 more interesting than a rare Cadillac in Europe? |
◊ 2007-11-10 16:32 |
Nowadays a R5 can be rarer than a Cadillac from the 50ies, for example in Sweden, where the US-Car-scene is very big. |

Why can't we have both - I guess both are interesting in their own right. The next time you watch the movie, just catch another frame with the Cadillac or Renault and for the time being we can survive with cloned pics, I guess... |

To me that 1959 Cadillac is far more special than the Renault 5, you don't see too many classic Cadillacs in Britain but there are still old Renaults about, but I suppose the Renault is listed because only part of the Cadillac is visible, wheareas nearly all of the Renault (which is a fraction of the size of the enormous Caddy) is visible. |

Can we stop arguing about the relative "value" of cars and just agree on having both? |

It's a new cap in the Contributions forum now. |

Now we're talking sense, thanks atom! |

Did we ever have done something different? -- Last edit: 2007-11-11 11:50:36 |
