Thames ET6, or Ford or Fordson, dependant upon year.

Look at that badge - Fordson and Thames in the same casting.

Any thoughts?

See /vehicle_98300-Fordson-Thames-ET6-1949.html for similar badge. Local assembly to be confirmed or disproved. I'd also wonder if Fordson Thames name was used in Aus for longer than its short UK life on ET6 as Thames on its own would not have meant much overseas.

I cannot say for export or specifically Australian trucks, but despite the vehicle badges advertising in the UK (and I believe I have also some seen later Australian adverts) prominently describe them as 'Made by Ford' with prominent Ford logos in publications.

I think here would be little confusion about the 'Thames' name as they were all sold by Ford dealers but perhaps someone can say about the prominence and timing of 'Thames' in export markets?
