:think: Did't made Ambi-Budd just bodywork and bodywork-panels?
Or did they also assembled complete vehicles?

There is some basic information on Wikipedia which suggests that Ambi-Budd was content with the position of being a tier 1 supplier rather than making finished vehicles. The business was developed to spread the expertise of the American Budd company in producing pressed panels. It seems to have been rather similar in positioning to GKN, who took the same view in respect of finished vehicles, with the exception of its armoured personnel carrier business, but perhaps not as varied in terms of product range.
