Marco, infirmier de son état, est amoureux d' Alicia, une jeune danseuse dans le coma depuis plusieurs mois qui lui avait avouée avant son accident être passionée par les films muets...depuis, il passe ses loisirs à regarder des centaines de films muets...d'ou la présence de cette photo Je n' ai pas vérifié si il s' agissait bien d' une Hispano...à suivre |

Nothing to do with an Hispano Suiza . No , the Atalante mascot of Studebaker, plain disc wheels ,rather high windshield and belt line , together with the nickel-plated type headlines and bumpers identifies it as a Studebaker Big Six seven passenger Limousine of 1926 vintage .The car has an accessory toolbox on the left running board and the fender mounted spares with metallic wheel covers .Rear quarter windows on this example are occluded by internal curtains . |

To add to the confusion, I'll hazard a guesss. I'll say Lincoln (if only because of the shape of the radiator mascot, that is like the Lincoln "Greyhound". |

I have scanned and enlarged the picture to recheck. Daf 555 is right. On the enlargment the typical Packard radiator and the" Goddess of Speed" mascot , here still with the outside motor temperature meter are better visible and distinct from Studebaker's radiator and Atalanta mascot .The fourth and the fifth series Packard's launched in july 1927 were the last to use this outside meter .On the other hand , the car has the eight lug wheels ( the third and fourth series had six lug wheels).The Packard logo may be present in the middle of the spare wheel but the image is too fuzzi to tell.It may thus be a fourth series eight 443 or fifth series six Packard of 1927. Unfortunately the side of the hood is not clearly visible since it is hidden by the spare wheel .The fourth series eight had opening shutters , the fifth series six normal non-opening louvres.The fourth series had a three lensed taillight but again , this is not visible here .I would be glad to submit this to a Packard specialist, also to check the origin of the coachwork ( factory , Holbrook,Dietrich...) |
