Introduced alongside the cargo van in 1961, Ford introduced two passenger variants of the Econoline (branded as part of the Falcon range) Alongside the Station Bus (branded as both a Falcon and Econoline), Ford marketed the Club Wagon. While the Station Bus was largely intended for commercial/fleet use, the Club Wagon was marketed as an alternative to station wagon. So a Ford Falcon or Econoline Station Bus or an Econoline Club Wagon |

@Supcoach. From the brochures I am pulling the Falcon name did not start until 1962. From the 1961 brochures I found there were 3 variants for the first year. Econoline Pickup, Econoline Station Bus, & Econoline Delivery Van. I cannot find any evidence the Falcon name started in 1961. I believe from, researching and reading the brochures, Ford rebranded the Econoline Station bus as the Falcon from 1962-1967. There seem to have been three trim levels on the Falcon: Falcon Station Bus, Falcon Club Wagon, & Falcon Deluxe Club Wagon. Edit: Nice breakdown of the changes: https://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_econoline/his-ECO/ Econoline by the fact there isn't a sidestep under those doors. All 1962-1967 Falcon's had this feature. 1962 brochure: Link to "oldcarbrochures.com" 1967: https://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/brochures_1967_ford_full_line -- Last edit: 2019-05-01 05:17:11 |
