2000-2006. Until someone narrows better. @Truck_Guy (figured you will answer:P) Can you please enlighten me how to determine these model years better? I know you have mentioned the Sirius satellite antenna before and the door panel inserts but on the exterior what changed? |

This one is a little bit different as it's a European version. It has Silverado chrome mirror caps, which the North American version doesn't. The easiest way to tell them apart is the Onstar and XM Satellite radio antennas on the roof. For 2002, the Onstar antenna was moved from the driver's side rear window to the driver's side roof above the windshield. The XM Satellite radio antenna is located on the passenger's side of the roof, and was first optional for 2003. For 2006 the two are combined into one "Shark Fin" antenna on the driver's side. In addition to that, the LS trim lost the LS badge on the c-pillar for 2003, but the Tahoe badge on the doors remains (except for the Z71, which never had the Tahoe badge on the doors). 2003 LT and Z71 models also have power folding side mirrors with a turn signal indicator embedded into the glass. The biggest change for 2003, is the interior, the dash, door panels, seats, and steering wheel are all different from 2000-2002. The Bose premium audio system and DVD rear entertainment system became factory options for 2003, along with second-row bucket seats. 2004+ no longer have the Tahoe badge on the doors. 2004 also has different wheels for both the LS and LT models. 2005 saw the addition of a chin spoiler along the bottom of the bumper, in addition to some changes to the Z71 models. The 2005-2006 Z71 badge is different, as it now says Z71 in a different font, and the rear hatch has Tahoe badge instead of Z71 on the left. 2006 models only have a Tahoe badge on the left side of the rear hatch, and no longer have the Chevrolet badge on the right side. 2006 also saw a slight change to the 3rd brake light area of the hatch. In addition to that, there's also a bunch of color changes that I use to tell them apart. |
