well, it looks like any ADO16 (Austin/MG/Morris 1100/1300) but being in Italy it is maybe the Innocenti version?

Actually this is in Switzerland, but next to the Italian border (well at least in the film), however the car has a white plates, in Italy they where only black in this time, no?

Yes, by the shape of the rear lights, the rectangular indicator repeaters on the front wing and the numberplate lights it's a 1968 ( model year )+ Austin or Morris MkII ( a 1300, perhaps? ).

@Weasel: it's a Swiss plate. In the past back Swiss plates were a bit bigger than today. It also can be a German plate, but this Morris/Austin was very rare. British cars were always unpopular in Germany, you even couldn't buy most of the models. In all neighbour-countries there were much more British cars to see than in Germany.

Why don't we list it like that, since it is the most likely option?

But was the Innocenti version of the ADO16 actually sold in Switzerland ? Or just an Italy-only car ?

I don't know. I can only say that certain parts of Switzerland are heavely Italian influenced...

I remember that model being sold in Holland aswell, a famous deceased Dutch writer used to have one... I think it was called Autobianchi Primula, but it could be Innocento aswell...

Because it is in Switzerland and it hasn't Italian plates.

The Primula isn't an ADO16 ! And Autobianchi isn't Innocenti !

The Innocenti versions of the ADO16 used the Mk.1 style rear wings until the very end of production in 1974.

Both Austin and Morris had a sand colour in the programme, but I cannot tell if they were identical.
I am certain that Austin cars were sold in Switzerland, I don't know if Morris cars, too.

Perhaps our ADO16 expert can help.

According to the Swiss magazine "Revue Automobile" in its "Numéro catalogue - 1970" both Austin and Morris MkII [ADO16] were sold in Switzerland. The four-door versions were only available in 1300 form. Curiously, the only two-door version with the 1300 engine available there was the Austin America. So, the car on the pic can be a 1968+ Austin or Morris 1300 MkII, since from this angle it's not possible to tell one from the other. The choice is yours, Michal.
