1971+ Ford Cortina Mk III GT (with side trim) or GXL (without the vinyl roof), two door sedan. |

GXL for grille - 3 central horizontal bars without a central badge; GT always had a central badge and usually only has 1 bar 1970-72 although did get 3 in 1973. Also seats look luxury GXL not GT plastic. Unusual choice for US - Mk3 not sold there, but did go to CDN as one of the few LHD Mk3 markets, also some small parts of Europe (eg CH, GR, A) which I think used Amsterdam assembled cars - there was no Genk assembly. |

Confirmed as GXL with better defined vinyl roof and C-pillar badge. Unusual as GXL 2 door - discontinued June 72 in UK. It's well drawn for detail - the only goof I can spot is straight beltline on the far side rear window - should be humped. I hope the blobs on the windscreen are not a clue to what he may or may not be doing .... |
