I'm currently reading an Italian book about the Fiat Uno and its derivatives, according to which the project code of the Duna and its derivatives (Premio, Elba, Penny, Cityvan) should be [155] and the Brazilian Uno/Mille should be [158]

Alessandro Sannia, Fiat Duna 1987-1991, Il Cammello, 2018 (translated from Italian) wrote

[...]the Turin group decided to start, shortly after the one of the Uno, two new projects dedicated to South America, labeled with the numbers 157 and 158. In the first case, it was about a new three-box saloon able to replace the 128 (still produced also in Argentina), and in the second one an adaptation of the Uno for the local markets, as it had already been done in the past moving from the 127 to the 147.
But soon project 157 proved to be excessively expensive if autonomously managed, then a previous study - the 155 - regarding a stretched version of the Uno, which had been abandoned as initially considered poorly interesting for the European markets, was recovered.
Project 158 was brought ahead with considerable interventions on the Uno, also for what concerned the chassis, which was noticeably strengthened to adapt it to the South American viability. At the same time, also project 155 was completed, deriving two further stretched body variants (although keeping the same wheelbase and thus both the front and the central parts of the body). The results were a classic three-box saloon, initially in the 2-doors variant [...] and a comfortable 3-doors estate (like the 127/147 Panorama).

I think this is another instance where the project code differs from the chassis code (like it happened those years with the Regata, or with more recent models based on the Small platform), and I see ePer (official Fiat part site) has the Duna as 155. I just checked a couple of Duna and they have 146 in the VIN, and I believe 146B for the Brazilian Uno derivatives is some sort of semi-official definition. So, what to do? I think we can use such 155 and 158 codes

PS: how's the book? :)

Really interesting, it's a complete summary of informations, focusing in particular on European models (including the ones branded Innocenti) and with some interesting historical notes. At the moment I have the ones about the Duna and the Uno, but I'm planning to gradually buy also the other ones, as the author has written a monograph for almost every Fiat model
