A on-set photo: At least up to five different Expeditions were used for this film (though that there were probably even more). -- Last edit: 2012-08-12 04:58:36 |

It's amazing how many pieces of equipment, and vehicles/machinery they go through during their filming process. I know they usually have different angles to perfect the director/whoever is in charge's view of the shot in their mind, and doing the whole crash scenes over and over until it's perfect would either mostly be CGI or they'd literally crash however many cars it takes until they have it perfect..? Anyway, back to the tail lamp guards, what are they likely to be from? like, which company or style would I be looking at? I saw a few, but the website can be deceitful, you never know how durable or which quality they'd be until they arrive, and could be disappointing or from a different material to the rear bumper guard... |

I watched it yesterday ("unofficial" release of the DVD ), the movie was nice but like for "Omega Man" I preferred the first part where it was alone in the city rather than the second part with monsters etc. |

Hey everyone, im new to this forum but it was verrry helpful reading all of your posts. I have a 2005 Ford Explorer, and I loved what they did with the Expedition here in this movie, as do all of you. I did have a question about how they wired the lights up on the roof rack, and not just for show but functional in an all weather/terrain environment. Also, not that this is the right forum to ask it-- but anyone happen to know how to modify a spare tire swing arm jeeps have for a 2005 explorer? Thanks! |

Has anyone figured out the actual tire and rim size? 20"X what? and tire? |

Sorry for late reply The tires the Expedition EL was wearing were 33x12.50R20LT Toyo Tires® Open Country M/T™ (Mud Terrain) costing approx. $440 (US) per tire/tyre. This price varies slightly depending on sales source. They are an ultra high-performance off-road type tire, extremely aggressive in design. Its mainly used by off-road enthusiasts, and is only available for certain vehicles with certain wheel sizes. http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/open-country-mt |

If you notice in the picture posted with Will Smith and his dog standing in front of the Expedition, notice that there are 4 LED lights in the grill. Does anyone else think that "Neville" possible modified one of the Expeditions that were driven in his flashbacks? I'm not sure if those LED's are intended to be emergency lights or just regular driving lights. I would suspect driving lights. Anyone think other wise? |

Does anyone know what manufacturer made the wheels for the Expedition? "GONZOBKLYN" posted pictures of the wheels but gave no information of the wheel brand or model. I've been looking for these everywhere. |

That is a slightly modified 2003 Ford Expedition "Go Mobility" Concept. Look it up. Rear bumper guard...winch...etc. |
