dsl ◊ 2020-04-21 02:19	HK system issues new plates whenever a car is sold or resold - not sure if this means the owner keeps the plates for their next purchase ("plate for life"??). So in this case it could well have been bought new in HK 86-88, owned for a couple of years, and then sold/bought as a used car in May-July 89.
