"Jansen" written on the back, quite dutch name indeed... License plate seems to be NB-xx-xx: 1951/1952. -- Last edit: 2007-05-28 23:45:41 |

I found a front view of a similar bus from the NACO-company (public thansport in the region north of Amsterdam): Link to "images.google.nl" and Link to "images.google.nl" |

These buses were also used by Maarse & Kroon (region Amsterdam / Haarlem / Leiden), Citosa (region The Hague / Leiden / Utrecht / Rotterdam) and BBA (region of Breda). 90% sure it's a Crossley with coachwork by Verheul. |

Interesting site, but I didn't found a bus matching exactly with it... Sorry but where is this Crossley Verheul you've mentionned? |

I'll never understand these machines I thought there would be a direct link to the pictures. Well, you scroll down und click on "KLIK HIER voor de NACO foto's". Then have a look at the first picture and at the penultimate one. You'll recognize a similar bus as the "Jansen"-bus ahown here in Paris. The problem is that there is no info about the make of the bus. But I found this info in my book about Dutch public transport "De Nederlandse Streekvervoerbedrijven" from 1956, though it's not stated very clearly, I'm pretty sure it is 45 passenger Crossley travelcoach with body by Verheul. Maybe someone else is better in finding exact info in the internet? |

Thank's DMike, crazy machines indeed! ... the link "KLIK HIER voor de NACO's foto" didn't worked last time I tried, and now it does ! I found the picture and I can tell you that I agree entirely with you , it's the same than the Janssen's! Si, en recoupant avec tes autre sources documentaires tu trouve un Crossley Verheul, alors c'est parfait... reste peut-être à préciser le type de l'engin? .... Link to "images.google.nl" Merci DM |

Translation: Jansen had various Verheuls around that time, but the bus on the picture is quite modern (early fifties). I pressume they didn't take an old bus to Paris. Two choices: Jansen, Maastricht 9, NB-03-68, Kormhout B6VB2 -Verheul, 45 seats, van may 1951; Jansen, Maastricht 15, NB-23-68, Kormhout B6VB2 -Verheul, 50 seats, van june 1952; License seems to be NB-03-68... -- Last edit: 2007-05-29 21:45:49 |

Nothing better than first hand information! Great, Cargo, that you've found someone who could help us. And I'm glad that I was at least partially right Btw, this would be the first Kromhout on this site! (Kromhouts were built in Amsterdam, they made buses and trucks, and famous diesel ship engines. |

Chapeau ! |

Kromhout is also a truck company from Holland. Around 1965 it was taken over by AEC. In 1961 they 'go together' (Dutch: fuseren) with Verheul. |
