1927 Packard?

To me it looks more like a 1927 Buick: size, shape of the fender, of the headlights, of the grille, of the side of the hood... all fits. Only the wheels are a bit strange (Buicks usually had spoke-wheels), but it's not impossible to find non-original wheels on a circa 13 year old car.

Those hubcaps are Packard.

The hood is too short for Packard. Actually it looks like this 1925 Luxor Taxi http://www.mot.org/Museum/1925-luxortaxi.jpg

It is a six and is a tourer not a sedan - probably either a Third series from 1925-6 or a Fourth series from 1926-7. Wheelbase either 126 or 133 inches. These were by far the biggest selling Packard of this era - about 5 times as many sixes as eights. They were only about two-thirds the price of the eight.

I just checked the Luxor reference in the Standard Catalog. It was only available as either a limousine or as a landaulet.

I can't determine the body type from this picture but what I can see seems to match the link I posted. You may be right but it just doesn't look like a packard to me.

This car is a tourer - you can see the tonneau cover clipped over the front of the rear door.

I also think it's a 1927 Buick. Teh wheels are original spoke wheels - with custom covers.
