dsl ◊ 2017-06-05 21:47	More questions than answers. Agree plate is NOC 74F = Birmingham, April 68 and therefore likely to be a Longbridge factory plate, so probably Austin rather than Morris. But it's a Mk1, several months after Mk2 launch. Grille and bonnet badge due to fuzzy captures and a light getting in the way could be either (i) a normal Morris Mini Minor or (ii) an Austin Mini Cooper, probably S. If we run with (ii) which is in line with the plate issue and think that it looks a lot like it's got Italian Job bits (wheels, lights, stripes), might we have an actual plate for the white Cooper S GPF 146G which is a fake screenplate as explained on that page. But while it may move things closer, it still does not explain why NOC 74F was such a late registration for a Mk1. Nor exclude the possibility that NOC 74F could be a normal Mk2 revamped as an Italian Job lookalike for screen effect. Entering as 1967 Austin Cooper S Mk1 as the best that can be done on current info.
