i don't know if it was the same in US but my book says 1988 as 1st year for the 3-door ones . Did US had it before ? |

All 3 bodystyles were sold from 1986 on. The base 3-door was the version that sold for the magic price of $4995, which was a big selling point for early Hyundais in the US. |
