Looks like an Austin Healey Sprite with an Ashley nose to me. |

More likely, I couldn't find a Lenham coupé, the pictures I saw were all the GT hardtop. |

We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided AUSTIN SPRITE 1961 Registration number: RVS 398 Body type: Sports Colour: Red Date of first registration: October 1961 ✓ Taxed Tax due: 01 June 2017 ✓ MOT Expires: 13 June 2017 Year of manufacture 1961 Cylinder capacity (cc) 1275 cc Export marker No Vehicle status Tax not due Vehicle colour RED Can't find anything else for RVS 398 (but stumbled on RVS 309 was a Lenham GT). It looks like straight rear wing, so very early Mk2, 1275cc means re-engined. Many folk did this sort of streamlined bonnet with Frogeye grille throughout the 60s and into 70s. Ashley and Lenham are perhaps the most obvious examples and both were underway by 1962. Most of them had sleeker lines and bigger sidelights, so I think this is a very early bonnet by whoever. |
