Okay, I found the scene. You can see that the car they used for the interior shot is different from the exterior shots. On the interior shot, you can see the car has a high back bucket seat (I would guess from a late 70's Camaro or Firebird) and a Sport sideview mirror (also commonly used on camaros and firebirds among other GM vehicles) The exterior shots clearly show the absence of the high back seat and outside mirror. From the shape of the dash, the A pillar and the the cowl inducttion door the interior car still appears to be a '70-'72 chevelle. |

I'm guessing, seeing as Brian was an undercover cop and in contact with the LAPD, they knew about the Supra. Brian gave it to Dom and so Brian didn't have it anymore, the LAPD were probably looking for it. When Dom got set up in Mexico, or maybe before, he gave the Supra away or destroyed to avoid being found. That's just my theory  |

Better theory, Dom perhaps raced the Supra a few times and then sold it to get this bad boy, a Chevelle, I would've done the exact same thing too |

Dom probably competed in a few races or just drove until it ran out of gas and he was stranded in the middle of nowhere and just walked away from and left it there. And in Turbo Charged Prelude, a smaller caption under Brian's picture saying: Vehicle Found Abandoned. |
